Cycling sponsorship packages, levels and prices for charity rides and races
A bike ride has more nameable assets than most events: a jersey, a bib, a rest stop at every turn, a finish line, a route, a post ride meal. Most organizers sell three of them and leave the rest on the table. The four published rate cards below show where US rides actually price those assets, from a $100 sign to a $25,000 presenting title.

In short
Cycling sponsorship is the sale of branding and access by a ride, race or club to businesses that want the cycling audience, usually in exchange for a logo on the jersey or T-shirt, signage at rest stops and the finish, a booth at the after party and free rider entries. Published US charity ride cards run from $100 for a sign to $25,000 for a presenting title, with rest stops at $2,500 to $10,000 and jersey or bib logos from $250 to $5,000.

Why direct
Cycling sponsorship, without the middleman
Price the rest stop, because it is the asset every card has
The Paul Revere ride in Concord, Massachusetts prices its rest stop at $2,500 with five rider entries. Will Bike 4 Food in Chicopee prices a water stop at the same $2,500. BayCare Clinic Century in Wisconsin has six rest stops and prices each at $10,000, with a logo on every rider T-shirt. Same asset, a four times spread, and the gap is explained by rider count and what travels with it. If your ride has stops and your card does not sell them one by one, that is your first fix.
Sell the thing riders wear, in more than one tier
Wearable placement is the most photographed asset on a ride. Tour de Teddi sells a front of jersey logo inside a $3,500 title tier and then sells 12 separate jersey logo slots at $250 each. Paul Revere sells the rider bib at $5,000. Will Bike 4 Food puts the presenting logo on the top fundraiser jerseys at $15,000. A small business can say yes to a $250 jersey slot long before it says yes to a title, and twelve of them is $3,000.
Count free entries as cost, not as a bonus
Paul Revere includes 20 team entries in its $10,000 tier, 10 in the $5,000 tier and 5 in the $2,500 tier, at a $75 registration fee. That is $1,500, $750 and $375 of value handed back. Will Bike 4 Food waives the fundraising minimum for up to six people at its top level. Entries cost you almost nothing to deliver but they cap your margin on a $1,000 tier, so give two at that level and more only above it.
Tell sponsors what the money does in units they can repeat
Will Bike 4 Food prices every tier in meals: $15,000 is the equivalent of 45,000 meals, $10,000 is 30,000, $5,000 is 15,000, $2,500 is 7,500 and $1,000 is 3,000. That is three meals per dollar at every level, and it gives a sponsor a sentence to put in a press release. Paul Revere ties its card to school programs that reach more than 15,000 students a year. A number with a unit outsells a paragraph of thanks.
How it works
From listed to paid in four steps
List every nameable thing on the route
Walk the course and the venue and write down what a business could own for a day: the start arch, each rest stop, the finish line, the jersey, the bib, the T-shirt back, the support vehicle, the route distance, the pre-ride breakfast, the post ride meal, the after party. A ride with six rest stops has six assets before you count anything else.
Price each asset by who sees it and for how long
The published spread tells you where to land. Signage and website listings sit between $100 and $1,000. Rest stops, water stops and after parties sit between $1,000 and $10,000. The title and route naming sit at $5,000 and above, and scale with rider count: 600 riders supports a $10,000 top tier, 800 or more supports $25,000.
Bundle the assets into four to six levels
Keep a low tier for the local business that wants to say yes today, two or three middle tiers built from rest stops, wearables and the after party, and one title that includes everything. Put a number of slots next to each tier. Scarcity is honest on a ride because there are only so many stops.
Net out entries and give sponsors a way to show up
Add the cost of free entries, the printed shirts and the booth space to every tier. Then offer what bike businesses want most: a booth at the after party, the chance to follow the route in a branded vehicle, and the chance to staff a stop and talk to riders. Will Bike 4 Food and Tour de Teddi both sell volunteering at a stop as part of the package.

Every price here was published by the organization selling it. Tour de Teddi is a 2023 card and is included for its low end tiers; the other three are 2026 cards. Rides set their own rates and the same tier name means different things at different events, so read what is included. Treat these as the market range to price against, not as a quote.
Who it is for
Who books cycling sponsorship here
Ride organizers and charity event teams
Your fastest gain is a rebuilt card. Name and price every rest stop, add a separate wearable tier at $250 to $5,000, and put a title at the top that is priced for your rider count. Listing the ride on Sponsorships puts the price in front of businesses that are already looking for events to back, and you keep 100% of what they pay.
Race directors and cycling clubs
Criteriums, road races and club series sell the same assets with a smaller crowd: start and finish, the leader jersey, primes, the podium and the team kit. Price the primes and the jersey separately from the title, and keep one tier at a level a local bike shop can say yes to in a single conversation.
Local businesses deciding what a cycling sponsorship is worth
Bike shops, physical therapy and sports medicine practices, orthopedic groups, outdoor retailers, credit unions and breweries all sell to the people on the ride. Work backward from riders: $2,500 at a 600 rider event is about $4 a rider for a booth, signage and a logo on the shirt worn all day. That is the number to compare with a local ad.
Questions
Cycling sponsorship questions people ask
How much does it cost to sponsor a bike ride?
Published US charity ride cards run from $100 for a sign to $25,000 for a presenting title. Rest stops and water stops cost $2,500 to $10,000, a jersey logo slot costs $250 on one card, and a bib or route naming costs $5,000. The price follows rider count and what the sponsor gets on the shirt or the route.
What do cycling sponsors get?
A typical cycling sponsorship includes a logo on the rider T-shirt or jersey, signage at a rest stop or the finish line, a website listing, social media recognition, free rider entries and a booth at the after party. Higher tiers add naming rights to a route or the after party, a branded vehicle on the course and a speaking slot.
How do you get sponsors for a cycling event?
Start with the businesses whose customers are already your riders: bike shops, physical therapy and sports medicine clinics, orthopedic groups, outdoor retailers, credit unions and breweries. Send each a one page card with priced assets and slot counts, not a donation letter, and ask local businesses for the cheapest tier first.
What are typical cycling sponsorship levels?
Published cards use four to seven levels. A common structure is Bronze at $1,000, Silver at $2,500 and Gold at $5,000, with a presenting or title level above it at $10,000 to $25,000 and small sign or jersey slots at $100 to $250 below it. Many rides add named tiers for rest stops, the after party and the route.
How much does a rest stop sponsorship cost?
Rest stop sponsorships on published US cards cost $2,500 at the Paul Revere ride and at Will Bike 4 Food, and $10,000 each at the BayCare Clinic Century, which has six stops. The higher price includes a logo on every rider T-shirt and custom banners. The lower prices include booth space or a volunteer team and rider entries.
Is sponsoring a cycling event tax deductible?
It depends on what the sponsor receives. Payments to charity rides that give back advertising value, such as logos and booths, are usually treated as a business advertising expense. A pure donation to the charity may be deductible as a gift. Cards such as BayCare Clinic Century state that sponsorships go to a 501(c)(3) and are tax deductible. Ask your accountant.
How many sponsors does a charity bike ride need?
Fewer than most organizers assume. A ride with a dozen priced assets usually funds its budget on eight to twelve sponsors, with two or three at $5,000 and above carrying most of the money. Chasing thirty $100 sign sponsors costs more in staff time than the $3,000 it brings.
