The detail
What Captiv8 does well, and where the cost lands
Captiv8 is enterprise influencer marketing software. A brand or agency uses it to search a large index of social creators, run campaigns, manage approvals, amplify creator posts as paid media and measure results, with a creator commerce layer on top for storefronts, affiliate links and TikTok Shop. It is sold by a sales team on an annual contract, and there is no self-serve signup or trial. The fact most comparison pages miss is who owns it now.
Publicis Groupe, one of the big advertising holding companies, announced the acquisition of Captiv8 in May 2025, in a deal the Wall Street Journal reported at about $150 million. Captiv8 now powers Publicis's connected influencer offering alongside Influential, another Publicis company, and Epsilon's identity data. Captiv8's own homepage says it has been integrated into Influential, and its only call to action, Work With Us, opens Influential's contact form. If you are evaluating Captiv8 in 2026, you are in practice talking to a Publicis business.
That matters for two reasons. First, pricing. Captiv8 has never published prices, and the acquisition has not changed that. Competitor estimates put it at $2,000 a month or more, or $25,000 a year and up, and the closest enterprise rival, CreatorIQ, sits between about $30,000 and $59,500 a year in buyer data.
Budget for a five-figure annual commitment before you pay a single creator. Second, procurement. A brand whose agency of record sits at a rival holding company should ask how creator data, campaign results and pricing are handled before signing, because the platform is now part of a competing group's stack. None of this makes Captiv8 a bad tool.
For a large brand running hundreds of social creators a quarter, with paid amplification, affiliate storefronts and a team to operate it, an enterprise suite is the right purchase. The question is whether that is your program. So who should look for a Captiv8 alternative? Three kinds of buyer.
The first wants the same kind of software without the enterprise contract. Modash publishes self-serve plans from $199 a month billed yearly, Grin publishes month-to-month plans from $200, and Heepsy starts lower still. You get creator search and outreach, and you can cancel. The second wants to book creators rather than run software.
Collabstr lists social creator packages at fixed prices with a 10% fee per booking and no subscription, which suits a brand doing a handful of Instagram or TikTok collaborations a month. The third is buying placements that influencer suites were never built around. Captiv8 indexes social accounts on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and similar networks. A podcast host read, a primary newsletter slot or a sponsored event is bought on downloads, opens or attendance, priced per placement and booked for a date, and those creators rarely show up in a social index at all.
That is where Sponsorships fits. Podcasters, newsletter operators, YouTubers and event organizers who want sponsors publish their audience, their formats and a price per placement. On the Brand plan, $49.50 a month billed yearly or $99 month to month, you browse every listing, filter by format, audience and budget per placement, save shortlists, send briefs and track deliverables per deal. You pay the creator directly and we take 0% commission.
Be clear about what you give up. Sponsorships has no index of millions of social profiles, no paid amplification, no affiliate storefronts and no identity data, and it only shows creators who chose to list. If your plan is 300 TikTok creators with Spark Ads behind them, an enterprise suite is the better tool. If your plan is ten podcast reads and six newsletter slots next quarter, the software fee alone would buy several of those placements, and a listing gives you the price before you spend.
Questions
Captiv8 questions, answered
What is the best Captiv8 alternative?
It depends on what you are buying. Modash and Grin are the closest if you want creator search and outreach software with published self-serve plans and no annual contract. CreatorIQ is the like-for-like enterprise alternative. Sponsorships is the alternative for podcast, newsletter, YouTube and event placements with a published price per placement.
How much does Captiv8 cost?
Captiv8 does not publish pricing. Its site routes buyers to a contact form, and there is no self-serve plan or free trial. Competitor reviews estimate at least $2,000 a month or $25,000 a year and up, on an annual contract. Creator fees and paid media are paid on top of the software.
Who owns Captiv8?
Publicis Groupe. The advertising holding company announced the acquisition in May 2025, in a deal the Wall Street Journal reported at about $150 million. Captiv8 now powers Publicis's connected influencer offering with Influential and Epsilon, and its homepage says it has been integrated into Influential.
Is Captiv8 part of Influential?
Effectively, yes. Both are Publicis Groupe companies, and Captiv8's own homepage says Captiv8 has been integrated into Influential. Its Work With Us button opens Influential's contact form. The Captiv8 platform still exists for brands, creators and talent managers, but new business is handled through Influential.
Does Captiv8 have a free trial?
No. Captiv8 has no self-serve signup and no free trial. Access starts with a sales conversation and a demo, followed by an annual contract and onboarding. If you want to try a tool before committing, Modash, Grin and Heepsy all offer self-serve plans you can start and cancel yourself.
What are sites like Captiv8?
Sites like Captiv8 include CreatorIQ, Traackr, Aspire and Upfluence at the enterprise end, Modash, Grin, Heepsy and Influencity for self-serve creator search, and Collabstr for booking creators at listed prices. For podcasts, newsletters and events, look at sponsorship marketplaces such as Sponsorships, Passionfroot and Paved.
Is Captiv8 worth it for a small brand?
Usually not. A five-figure annual software fee only pays off when you run large social programs with a team to operate the platform. A small brand doing a few collaborations a month gets more from a self-serve search tool or from booking creators directly at listed prices, and keeps the software budget for the creators themselves.
Can I use Captiv8 for podcast or newsletter sponsorships?
Not well. Captiv8 indexes social accounts and measures social posts. A podcast host read or a newsletter slot is bought on downloads per episode or open rate and booked for a date, and many of those creators have no large social following. You need their published rate and audience numbers, which is what a sponsorship marketplace listing shows.
