SponsorPitch alternative: SponsorPitch pricing, reviews and competitors for sponsorship sellers

SponsorPitch sells you a list of brands to pitch and the contacts to pitch them. If what you actually need is sponsors who come to you, a prospecting database is the wrong purchase, however good the data is.

In short

SponsorPitch is a sponsorship prospecting database, not a marketplace that books deals. As of September 2026 it publishes a free plan and three paid tiers: Prospector at $39 per user a month billed yearly or $54 month to month, Professional at $83 or $134, and Agency at $221 or $334 per team for up to 10 accounts. Paid plans unlock 100 to 500 decision-maker contacts a month from a database of more than 13,000 brands, under a no-refund policy. Sponsorships works from the other direction: you list your audience and rates, brands browse and contact you, and membership is flat from $12 a month with 0% commission. If you sell sponsorship full time and need names to call, SponsorPitch is the better tool. If you need brands to find you, it is not.

The detail

What SponsorPitch does well, and where the cost lands

SponsorPitch has been selling sponsorship data since 2009, which makes it one of the older tools in sponsorship sales, and the honest starting point is that it is good at what it sets out to do. It is a research and prospecting platform. You search a database of more than 13,000 brands, see who they already sponsor and which agencies they work with, unlock the decision-maker contacts at the ones that fit, and organize the outreach. Festivals, sports teams, athletes, nonprofits and conferences use it to build target lists they would otherwise assemble by hand from press releases and LinkedIn.

The pricing is published, and it is more nuanced than most review sites suggest. Several software directories still list SponsorPitch as starting at $59 a month with no free version. As of September 2026 the vendor's own page shows a free plan with up to 10 sponsor pages, 5 saved companies and 5 contact unlocks, and three paid tiers. Prospector is $39 per user a month billed yearly or $54 month to month, with 100 contacts a month and 3 Pitch Board posts.

Professional is $83 billed yearly or $134 month to month, with 500 contacts a month, sponsor recommendations, deal analytics and CSV export. Agency is $221 per team billed yearly or $334 month to month and covers up to 10 Professional accounts. Two details are worth reading before you pay. The first is the gap between billing periods.

Month to month costs 38% more than yearly on Prospector, 51% more on Agency and 61% more on Professional, so a Professional seat is $996 a year on annual billing and $1,608 on monthly. The second is the refund policy. SponsorPitch says it does not refund because the data is delivered on payment, and it asks you to cancel by email at least 2 business days before your renewal date. Buying a year up front to save money is only a saving if you use the year.

The arithmetic that matters is cost per usable contact. If you unlock all 500 contacts every month on Professional, each one costs about 17 cents on annual billing. If you unlock 40, each costs about $2, and a contact is still only a name and an email, not a meeting. A database like this pays off in proportion to how much outbound selling you do.

A sponsorship manager sending hundreds of pitches a season will get good value from it. A race director who sends thirty emails a year will mostly be paying for access. Agency also has a simple break-even: at three or more seats it costs less than buying Professional seats one at a time, on either billing period. It is also worth being clear about what SponsorPitch does not include.

It finds you people to pitch. It does not book the deal, hold the relationship, run deliverables, or bring brands to you unless they happen to browse its Pitch Board, which is a paid feature. The larger enterprise tool in the same category, SponsorUnited, does not publish pricing at all and has no free plan. Sponsorships works from the opposite direction.

You publish a profile with your audience, formats and rate card, brands browse listings by niche and reach out, and you manage the deal and its deliverables in one place. Membership is flat, from $12 a month on yearly billing for Starter and $29 for Creator, and commission on your deals is 0%, so the brand pays you directly and you keep the whole fee. What you give up is the research: there is no contact database and no brand deal history. So the choice comes down to where your next sponsors will come from.

If you already have a sales process and the bottleneck is knowing who to call, SponsorPitch is the right kind of tool and Professional is the plan most active sellers will need for the export. If the bottleneck is that the right brands do not know you exist, a marketplace listing is the cheaper test, and plenty of sellers run both. Questions

SponsorPitch questions, answered

How much does SponsorPitch cost?

SponsorPitch publishes four plans as of September 2026. Free costs nothing and includes 10 sponsor pages, 5 saved companies and 5 contact unlocks. Prospector is $39 per user a month billed yearly or $54 month to month, Professional is $83 yearly or $134 monthly, and Agency is $221 per team yearly or $334 monthly for up to 10 Professional accounts. Paid plans add 100 or 500 contacts a month.

Is SponsorPitch worth it?

It is worth it if you do enough outbound selling to use the contacts. On Professional billed yearly, a fully used month of 500 unlocks works out to about 17 cents a contact, which is cheap research for a full-time sponsorship seller. If you only pitch a few dozen brands a year, each contact costs dollars rather than cents, and a marketplace listing where brands contact you is usually the better first spend.

Is SponsorPitch legit?

Yes. SponsorPitch is an established New York company that has sold sponsorship data since 2009, with a public pricing page, a free plan and reviews on G2 that praise its contact accuracy. The negative reviews we found center on billing after renewal, so note its two terms before buying: it does not issue refunds, and it asks for cancellation by email at least 2 business days before your renewal date.

Does SponsorPitch have a free plan?

Yes, and several software directories are out of date on this. The free plan needs no credit card and lets you search the database, view up to 10 sponsor pages, save 5 companies and unlock 5 contacts. It is enough to judge whether the brands in your category are in the data, but not enough to run a prospecting campaign, which needs the 100 monthly contacts on Prospector at minimum.

What are the best SponsorPitch competitors?

It depends on what you sell. SponsorUnited is the enterprise intelligence platform for leagues, teams and brands, with quote-only pricing. Who Sponsors Stuff and SponsorGap are prospecting databases built for newsletters, with SponsorGap published at $39, $89 and $199 a month. OpenSponsorship suits brands booking athletes, with managed plans at $2,000 and $5,000 a month. A marketplace like Sponsorships is the inbound option.

Can you cancel SponsorPitch at any time?

Yes, but the method and timing matter. SponsorPitch asks you to email its support team at least 2 business days before your next renewal date to make sure you are not charged again, and it has a no-refund policy because the data is delivered as soon as you pay. If you are testing the product, month to month billing costs more but limits what you can lose.

What is the difference between SponsorPitch and a sponsorship marketplace?

SponsorPitch is outbound: it tells you which brands sponsor what and gives you the contacts, and you do the selling. A sponsorship marketplace is inbound: you publish your audience, formats and prices, and brands looking for that audience find and contact you. The database suits sellers with time to pitch. The marketplace suits sellers who want demand to arrive without cold outreach.

Which SponsorPitch plan should I choose?

Choose by monthly contact volume and team size. Prospector covers up to 100 contacts a month but has no CSV export. Professional raises that to 500 contacts and adds export, recommendations and deal analytics, so it is the plan for anyone feeding contacts into a CRM. Agency covers up to 10 accounts and costs less than separate Professional seats once you have three or more people.
