The detail

What Upfluence does well, and where the cost lands

Two marketing team members reviewing an annual software contract and creator budget at a meeting table

Upfluence is an influencer marketing platform built for e-commerce brands. It finds creators, including the ones already sitting in your customer list, runs outreach and campaigns, ships product, tracks sales by creator through Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce and Amazon, and pays creators. In 2026 it added Jaice, an AI agent that runs campaign steps on its own, and an API and MCP connection for teams that want the data in their own stack. The price is not on Upfluence's website.

Its pricing page says plans are custom quoted by module (Find, Scale or Autopilot), team size and program volume, and that the minimum contract is 12 months. The vendor's own AWS Marketplace listing does publish numbers: Growth at $11,940 for 12 months with 1 seat and a 5,000-creator community, Scale at $19,800 with 5 seats and 10,000 creators, and Enterprise at $42,600 with 25 seats and 20,000 creators. That is about $995, $1,650 and $3,550 a month. Upfluence takes no percentage of creator sales and charges no mandatory setup fee, and the free trial is set up after a sales call rather than self-serve.

Our Upfluence pricing breakdown covers the plans in more detail. So most people looking for an Upfluence alternative are not unhappy with the software. They are stuck on one of three things: the 12-month minimum, the size of the first invoice, or the fact that what they actually want to buy is not an Instagram or TikTok post. The contract is the biggest of the three, and it is easy to underprice.

A first creator program is an experiment. If it does not work after a quarter, the cost of stopping is what decides how expensive the test really was. On Upfluence the answer is the whole year, $11,940 on Growth, because there is no month-to-month option. The same three-month test costs $600 on Grin Starter, $897 on Modash Essentials paid monthly, $594 on Influencity Discover, $267 on Heepsy Starter and $297 on the Sponsorships Brand plan.

HypeAuditor is the exception among the cheaper names, because its entry price is quoted on an annual commitment too. The table below lays it out. The seat math cuts the other way, and it is fair to say so. Growth is one seat at about $995 a month.

Scale is five seats at about $330 each, and Enterprise is 25 seats at about $142 each. A team of five or more people working creators every day gets a reasonable per-person price, and for a brand spending $150,000 or more a year on creators, $11,940 is under 8% of the program. If that is you, the alternatives below are mostly a negotiating tool: bring Grin's and Modash's published prices to the renewal call. Here is how the alternatives actually differ.

Grin is the closest like-for-like swap for a Shopify brand running gifting and affiliate programs, and it is the only large platform that now publishes month-to-month plans, from $200 a month, with AI credits that bill overage at $0.10 each. Modash is a search and outreach tool over 350M+ Instagram, TikTok and YouTube profiles, at $199 a month billed yearly for Essentials or $499 for Performance, with a 14-day trial and payments on top. Influencity covers search, CRM, outreach and payments at $198, $398 or $1,398 a month, with Shopify tracking and creator payments only on Business. Heepsy is the cheapest real database, at $69, $149 or $229 a month billed yearly with a free plan, 20M+ creators and creator payments from the Plus plan.

HypeAuditor leads on audience quality and fraud checks, from $299 a month billed annually. Collabstr is a marketplace of creators who publish packages, free to use with a 10% fee on each booking, or 5% on its $399 Premium plan. Notice what none of those tools index: podcasts and newsletters. That is the third reason brands leave, and it is where Sponsorships fits.

It is a marketplace where podcasters, newsletter operators, YouTubers and event organizers who want sponsors publish their audience, their formats and a price per placement. On the Brand plan, at $49.50 a month billed yearly ($594 a year) or $99 month to month, you browse listings by niche and format, keep shortlists, send a brief and contact creators directly. Payment goes straight from you to the creator, and Sponsorships takes 0% commission. Be clear about what you give up.

Sponsorships has no Shopify order tracking, no product seeding workflow, no affiliate commissions, no search across millions of social accounts and no audience audit, and it only shows creators who chose to list. A Shopify brand running hundreds of creators on product and commission is better served by Upfluence or Grin. A brand whose real buy is a podcast host read, a newsletter slot or a sponsored YouTube segment at a known price is paying for an e-commerce engine it will barely use. Upfluence figures on this page come from its own pricing page and AWS Marketplace listing, and every other price from the vendor's own pricing page; confirm current terms with each vendor before you sign.

Questions

Upfluence questions, answered

What are the best Upfluence alternatives?

The best Upfluence alternatives are Grin for Shopify gifting and affiliates (from $200 a month, no annual contract), Modash for creator search ($199 a month billed yearly), Heepsy for a low-cost database ($69 a month billed yearly), HypeAuditor for audience audits and Collabstr for one-off UGC. For podcasts and newsletters at listed prices, Sponsorships at $49.50 a month with 0% commission.

Who are Upfluence competitors?

Upfluence competes most directly with Grin, Aspire and CreatorIQ for brands running large creator programs, and with Modash, Influencity, Heepsy and HypeAuditor for creator search and outreach. Collabstr competes for small brands that buy individual posts. G2's alternatives page for Upfluence leads with Sprout Social, CreatorIQ and Grin.

How much does Upfluence cost per year?

Upfluence costs $11,940 a year on Growth, $19,800 on Scale and $42,600 on Enterprise, according to the vendor's AWS Marketplace listing. That is about $995, $1,650 and $3,550 a month. Its own website quotes custom prices by module and team size, so a direct quote can come in above or below those figures.

Is there an Upfluence alternative without an annual contract?

Yes. Grin bills month to month from $200 a month, Heepsy and Modash let you cancel a monthly plan anytime, Influencity offers monthly billing, and Collabstr has no subscription at all on its free tier. Sponsorships is $99 month to month. Upfluence itself requires a 12-month minimum on every plan.

Is Grin better than Upfluence?

Grin is better for a Shopify brand that wants monthly terms and a published price, starting at $200 a month. Upfluence is stronger for brands selling on Amazon as well as their own store and for teams of five or more, where its Scale plan works out to about $330 per seat a month. Feature depth for gifting and affiliates is close.

What is a cheaper alternative to Upfluence?

Heepsy is the cheapest full database, at $69 a month billed yearly or $89 monthly, with a free plan. Grin Starter is $200 a month with no contract, and Modash Essentials is $199 a month billed yearly. All three cost less in a year than one month of Upfluence Enterprise. Creator fees are paid on top with every tool.

Does Upfluence work for podcast and newsletter sponsorships?

Not well. Upfluence searches social creators on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and similar platforms and is built around online sales tracking. It does not list podcasts or newsletters with a price per placement, so a brand buying host reads or newsletter slots still runs that outreach and the rate talk outside the platform.

Can you cancel an Upfluence contract early?

Upfluence's minimum contract is 12 months, and the AWS listing sells only 12-month terms, so plan on paying for the full year. Early exit terms are set in your order form. If you are not sure a creator program will work, test on a tool with monthly billing first and move to an annual platform once the channel pays.
