The detail

What Modash does well, and where the cost lands

Modash is a creator discovery and management tool built for in-house brand teams. Its homepage says it indexes every public Instagram, TikTok and YouTube profile with more than 1,000 followers, which it puts at 350M+ creators, and that 2,600+ in-house teams run paid partnerships, gifting and affiliate programs on it. The product is organized as Discover, Manage, Track, Pay and Email, and it is openly Shopify-first: discount codes, product gifting and sales tracking all connect to your store. Unlike most of the category, Modash publishes its prices.

Essentials costs $299 a month on monthly billing or $199 a month billed yearly, which is $2,388 a year, and gives you 2 team members, 300 opened profiles, 150 unlocked creator emails or profile exports, and content tracking for 100 creators. Performance costs $599 a month or $499 a month billed yearly, $5,988 a year, with 5 team members, 800 opened profiles, 400 email unlocks and tracking for 250 creators. Enterprise starts at $14,700 a year. Both public plans come with a 14-day free trial and no credit card.

There is one more line worth reading before you sign. Creator payments and affiliate management carry a fee: on Performance the first $10,000 a year is at 0% and the rest at 5%, and Enterprise raises the 0% band to $100,000 a year of payouts. If you pay creators $60,000 a year through Modash on Performance, that is about $2,500 in payment fees on top of the $5,988 plan. So the honest comparison is not $199 against $49.50.

It is what share of your creator budget the software takes, and what kind of creator you are buying. At $50,000 a year of creator spend, Performance billed yearly is 12% of the program before payment fees. At $150,000 it is 4%, which is cheap for the workflow it replaces. For a brand doing its first $10,000 test, the same plan costs 60% of what it pays creators.

The second question is format. Modash finds social creators, and what it hands you is a profile and, where the creator lists one publicly, an email address. Nobody on the other end has agreed to anything yet, quoted a rate or said they take sponsors. If the placement you want is a podcast host read, a newsletter slot or a sponsored segment in a YouTube video, Modash does not index podcasts or newsletters at all, and you still have to run outreach and price negotiation yourself.

Sponsorships starts from the other end. It is a marketplace where podcasters, newsletter operators, YouTubers and event organizers who want sponsors publish their audience, their formats and a price for each placement. On the Brand plan, at $49.50 a month billed yearly ($594 a year) or $99 month to month, you browse listings by niche and format, keep shortlists, send a brief and contact creators directly. Payment goes straight from you to the creator and Sponsorships takes 0% commission, so there is no fee band to watch.

Be clear about what you give up. Sponsorships has no Instagram or TikTok search across hundreds of millions of accounts, no Shopify gifting, no affiliate links or promo codes, and it only shows creators who chose to list. A Shopify brand running gifting and affiliates across a few hundred Instagram and TikTok accounts is better served by Modash. A brand whose real buy is podcasts, newsletters and YouTube integrations at a known price is paying Modash for a database it will barely use.

Brands that compare Modash with other tools usually look at HypeAuditor, whose Basic plan starts at $299 a month billed annually, Grin, which publishes plans at $0, $200, $500 and $1,000 a month, and Upfluence, whose AWS Marketplace listing starts at $11,940 a year. Modash figures on this page come from its own pricing page; confirm current terms with the vendor before you sign.

Questions

Modash questions, answered

How much does Modash cost?

Modash publishes three plans. Essentials is $299 a month, or $199 a month billed yearly ($2,388 a year). Performance is $599 a month, or $499 a month billed yearly ($5,988 a year). Enterprise starts at $14,700 a year. Essentials includes 2 seats and 300 opened profiles; Performance includes 5 seats and 800.

Does Modash have a free trial?

Yes. Both Essentials and Performance come with a 14-day free trial and Modash does not ask for a credit card to start it. There is no permanent free plan, so after the trial you choose monthly or yearly billing. Yearly billing saves $100 a month on either plan.

Does Modash charge a fee on creator payments?

Yes, above a threshold. On Performance, creator payments and affiliate payouts are free up to $10,000 a year combined and cost 5% after that. Enterprise raises the free band to $100,000 a year. A brand paying creators $60,000 a year on Performance would pay about $2,500 in fees.

Does Modash cover podcasts and newsletters?

No. Modash indexes public Instagram, TikTok and YouTube profiles with more than 1,000 followers. It does not list podcasts or newsletters, and creators in it have not said they take sponsors or published a rate, so you run the outreach and the price talk yourself.

What are the best Modash alternatives?

For audience quality and fake follower checks, HypeAuditor from $299 a month billed annually. For Shopify gifting and affiliates with a free tier, Grin from $200 a month. For a large affiliate program, Upfluence from $11,940 a year. To book podcasts, newsletters and YouTube at listed prices, Sponsorships at $49.50 a month with 0% commission.

Is Modash cheaper than HypeAuditor?

At the entry level, yes. Modash Essentials is $199 a month billed yearly and can be paid monthly at $299, while HypeAuditor's Basic plan starts at $299 a month billed annually. At the next tier the two meet: Modash Performance and the Pro tier review directories list for HypeAuditor are both $499 a month billed yearly.

Is Modash worth it?

Modash is worth it for a Shopify brand running gifting and affiliates across a few hundred Instagram and TikTok creators, where search and tracking replace staff time. At $150,000 a year of creator spend, Performance is about 4% of the program. On a $10,000 first test the same plan costs about 60% of the creator budget.

What is the difference between Modash Essentials and Performance?

Performance adds seats and volume: 5 team members instead of 2, 800 opened profiles instead of 300, 400 email unlocks instead of 150, and tracking for 250 creators instead of 100. It also includes creator payments and affiliate management, with the first $10,000 a year of payouts at 0%.
