Refund policy
Effective October 14, 2026
We do not hand back Sponsorships membership fees once they are paid. The three exceptions further down are the only path to a refund, and each is checked against our logs. This page is part of our Terms of Service.
Deal money is not ours to refund
Sponsorships connects brands with creators, events and other members and keeps no cut of the deals made here. Whatever a brand pays a creator or organizer for a sponsorship is agreed between those two members, and make-goods, partial refunds or a cancelled activation are settled between them under their own contract. This page deals only with the membership fee you pay us.
The membership itself
Plans are monthly or yearly memberships. Creators and event organizers get a live listing with audience data and a rate card, plus the inbox and deal tools. Brands get search, rate cards and booking across the whole board. Limits per plan are on the pricing page. A membership is fully on from the first day of each period, and its price is the same however many enquiries, bookings or profile views that period brings.
Buying a membership is a request for it to start at once, and you agree that any statutory withdrawal or cooling-off right that might otherwise apply comes to an end as soon as it does.
When we do refund
- Billed twice. Our billing mistakenly took payment two times for one period.
- Your card, someone else's purchase. A membership was paid with your card without your agreement, we hear about it inside 14 days of the charge, and the account history and payment data support that. The logs, which we review with our payment operator, decide the matter, not the report alone, and we can ask to see the fraud report you made to your bank.
- The board was down entirely. A fault confirmed on our side made the marketplace impossible to use for an uninterrupted period, you let us know during it, and we did not get it back up. Slow pages, a late notification, or a problem with your own device, browser or connection is not enough.
The refund is limited to the membership fee for the affected period, goes back only to the card that paid, and settles our liability for that charge in full. It does not lead to further refunds.
Not grounds for a refund
- No brand reached out, a pitch was turned down, or a deal collapsed or paid less than expected.
- As a brand, no suitable creator or event turned up, or a creator never answered.
- A deal partner missed a deliverable or a payment, which is between the two of you.
- Your listing was never published or kept up to date, or the membership went unused.
- A listing was hidden or taken down for breaking our Terms, for example over inflated audience numbers.
- A renewal that went through after earlier card declines.
- Thinking the membership was a single charge, although pricing, checkout, the receipt email and your account all describe automatic renewal.
- Renewal not cancelled in time, or cancelled just after it ran.
- A feature you wanted is not listed for your plan on the pricing page.
- The wrong plan or billing term was chosen.
- Another person used your login or your listing's management link.
- Days left after cancelling, which keep the membership active until the period ends and are never pro-rated.
Ending a membership
Cancel whenever you like from your account, or from the private management link of a Starter listing, with no need to write to us. Future renewals stop the moment you cancel, the membership keeps running until the paid period closes, and cancelling is not read as a refund request. Withdrawing a Starter listing from its management link is different: the listing is hidden right away and its subscription ends at once, with no further charges and no refund for the unused part of the period.
Each period starts on the renewal date in your account and is payable from then. A declined card triggers retries of that same invoice by our payment operator over the next days, never an extra charge. Cancelling while retries continue stops the periods that follow, but the one already started stays owed and is not refunded, even if payment clears a few days late.
Requesting a refund
Write to [email protected] from your account's email address, no more than 14 days after the charge. Mention when it happened, what it came to, and which of the three exceptions you believe covers it. Late requests and messages we cannot link to an account are not reviewed. Requests are taken in arrival order, and a refusal is not reopened.
Filing a chargeback with your bank before you have contacted us breaches our Terms of Service, and the account is closed for good.
What we keep
Every account and listing on Sponsorships is opened under our Terms of Service, this policy included, and our Privacy Policy. You see the membership tier, its price, how often it bills and the fact that it renews on the checkout screen before paying, and again in the receipt email.
Per membership we retain when it was bought, the plan and amount on screen, your agreement to the terms, our emails and renewal reminders, and a timeline of account events: sign-ins, listing edits, rate cards published, enquiries exchanged and bookings, each with its technical metadata. Our payment operator keeps a separate trail for each charge with the card's issuing country, the payment origin and the 3D Secure outcome. Refund requests and disputes are judged against these logs, and we provide them to the card issuer when a chargeback is filed.
Earlier memberships
Memberships bought before October 14, 2026 stay under the refund terms that applied when they were purchased.
