Grin is cheaper and quicker to start: it publishes month to month plans at $0, $200, $500 and $1,000 a month, with a 30-day free trial of Starter and no sales call. Aspire publishes no prices at all, sells through a demo, and buyer data from Vendr puts its contracts at $11,139 to $36,599 a year, with a median of $15,588. Choose Grin to start a Shopify gifting and affiliate program this month; choose Aspire if you want creators applying to you through its marketplace and a team that can run the program for you.

Most Grin vs Aspire comparisons that rank today describe two quote-only enterprise tools at $2,000 a month and up. Half of that is out of date. Grin rebuilt its pricing in 2026 around credits for Gia, its AI agent, and now prints every tier on grin.co/pricing. Aspire did the opposite: aspire.io/pricing returns a "page not found" error and the plans link opens a demo form that asks for your monthly creator budget. So you can now compare one of the two on a list price and the other only on what buyers report paying, which is what the tables below do.

Neither platform takes a percentage of creator sales or creator fees. The figures below are the full software cost, and creator payments come on top with both.

Grin's plans differ by how much work Gia does and how many brands you run. Free includes 50 usage credits, the creator CRM and the full affiliate program with links, discount codes and sales tracking. Starter adds Gia's Desk and custom dashboards with 2,000 credits a month. Growth adds multiple brands, multiple currencies and paid boosting with 7,500 credits, and Scale raises the allowance to 20,000. Grin says its plans are not priced per seat, and migration from another platform is free. Aspire's quote is set against the size of your program, which is why its form asks for your creator and paid ad budgets before anyone names a number.

Which is cheaper, Grin or Aspire?

Grin is cheaper at every level we can compare. Grin's top published plan, Scale, costs $12,000 a year, less than the $15,588 median Aspire contract, and close to the bottom of Aspire's reported range. A brand that would be happy on Grin Starter pays $2,400 in a year, about a fifth of the cheapest Aspire deal Vendr has seen.

The gap matters most on a small program, because the software fee is a share of what you spend on creators. Here is what each one costs as a percentage of an annual creator budget.

Annual creator spendGrin Starter ($2,400)Grin Scale ($12,000)Aspire median ($15,588)
$25,0009.6%48.0%62.4%

$150,0001.6%8.0%10.4%
$500,0000.5%2.4%3.1%

At $500,000 a year of creator spend the difference between the two is a rounding error, and you should choose on workflow. At $25,000 the median Aspire contract costs almost two thirds of what you pay creators, and that is hard to justify on a first test.

Is Grin better than Aspire?

Grin is better for a Shopify brand that wants a published price, monthly terms and a fast start, because you can sign up, connect the store and run a gifting campaign without a sales call. Aspire is better for a brand that wants creators to come to it through Aspire's marketplace and wants the option of a managed service. On core gifting and affiliate features the two are close.

Both cover the work most e-commerce brands buy them for: creator search and outreach, briefs and agreements, Shopify product seeding, affiliate links and discount codes with commissions, content approval, creator payments and sales reporting. The differences are in how you buy and who does the work.

Paid boosting deserves a note, because it is often why a brand buys either tool. Running a creator's post as an ad gets you the creator's face and voice with your targeting, and both platforms handle the permissions. If the creative is what you are after rather than the creator's audience, you can also generate UGC-style video ads from a product page and test them before you pay a creator for usage rights.

Does Aspire have a free trial?

Aspire does not publish a free trial or a month to month plan. Access starts with a demo call, and buyers and reviewers consistently report annual contracts. Grin offers both a Free plan with no card required and a 30-day free trial of Starter on every new account, so you can test Grin on your own store before you spend anything.

That difference shapes how much a failed test costs. Three months on Grin Starter, if you decide creators are not for you, is $600 after the trial. Three months on an Aspire annual contract is the whole year, about $15,588 at the median.

Which should you choose, Grin or Aspire?

Pick Grin if any of these are true:

  • You run Shopify and want to start gifting and affiliates this month without a contract.
  • Your creator budget is under about $150,000 a year, where Grin's lower fee is a real share of the program.
  • You manage more than one brand and want that priced up front, from $500 a month on Growth.

Pick Aspire if any of these are true:

  • You would rather creators applied to your campaigns than search and pitch every one yourself.
  • You want a managed service to run the program while your team stays small.
  • You spend well into six figures on creators, so a $15,000 to $36,000 contract is a small share of the budget, and you can negotiate it against Grin's published prices.

Whichever you lean toward, get the Aspire quote in writing and bring Grin's price list to the call. A vendor that publishes nothing has room to move, and a competitor's printed number is the best lever you have. When neither Grin nor Aspire fits

Grin and Aspire are both built around Instagram, TikTok and YouTube creators and the Shopify order that sends them product. If the sponsorship you actually want is a podcast host read, a newsletter placement or a sponsored YouTube segment, you would be paying for gifting, affiliate tracking and a creator community you will not use.

That buyer is who Sponsorships is for. It is a marketplace where podcasters, newsletter operators, YouTubers and event organizers who want sponsors publish their audience, formats and a price for each placement. On the Brand plan, at $49.50 a month billed yearly or $99 month to month, you browse listings by niche and format, keep shortlists, send a brief and contact creators directly. Payment goes straight to the creator and Sponsorships takes 0% commission. It has no Shopify seeding, affiliate tracking or managed service, so it does not replace either platform for a gifting program. See how podcast advertising is priced, or read our full Aspire pricing and alternatives and Grin alternatives pages.

Grin prices on this page come from Grin's own pricing page. Aspire publishes none, so its figures are Vendr's buyer data and should be read as a range, not a quote. Confirm current terms with each vendor before you sign.
